Four Seasons Hotel Boston was the site for Point’s third annual fundraiser in Boston, held October 1, 2009. Attended by more than 200 guests, the event raised $155,900 to support Point Foundation. Point Scholars Hillary Gleason (Clark University) and George Aumoithe (Bowdoin College) were featured speakers, sharing personal stories of hope and highlighting Point’s support around scholarship, leadership and mentoring. The short program also included comments by Point Executive Director & CEO Jorge Valencia. A total of 12 Boston-area Point Scholars and Alumni attended the event and interacted with guests. Guests who made donations at the $500 or $1,000-level were eligible for prizes that included two Business Class tickets to anywhere in Europe on American Airlines, Four Seasons Hotel stays in both Europe and Boston, a St. Maarten vacation, a Saks Fifth Avenue shopping spree and two round-trip tickets to any American Airlines destination.
