Glen Ackerman

Glen H. Ackerman is the managing member of Ackerman Legal PLLC, a six member general practice law firm committed to working towards the fair and equal treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Americans. The firm, located in the District of Columbia, serves the Washington metropolitan area including, Maryland and Virginia. Ackerman Legal encourages clients to “LIVE WHO YOU ARE”.

In addition to serving on Point Foundation’s National Board of Trustees, Glen is the President of GAYLAW, an affiliate of the National LGBT Bar Association, and on the Board of Mautner Project: The National Lesbian Health Organization, which works towards improving the health of women who partner with women including, lesbians, bisexual, and transgender individuals.

Glen is the benefactor of the Ackerman-Gemette Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to law students interested in advancing the rights of LGBT Americans.

Glen earned his Juris Doctor degree with a concentration in Governmental Affairs from Capital University Law School. While at Capital, Glen was instrumental in forming BiGLAW, a student organization for LGBT students and their allies. Glen earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in History from Loyola University New Orleans.
