Jonah TroutA native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jonah Trout now resides in New York City. Currently, he works at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) as a Bank Applications Specialist. He analyzes the statutory, managerial and financial factors of second district banking organizations to ensure compliance and consistency with U.S. regulations and Federal Reserve policy. Jonah also serves as the treasurer and policy coordinator for the LGBT resource network at FRBNY. Prior to that, he worked for such firms as Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), where he earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in finance and economics. At UNLV, Jonah served as a student ambassador for the Office of the President and represented the College of Business. He also served as president of the Financial Management Association where his responsibility was to facilitate relationships between students and finance professionals in the community. Currently, Jonah is pursuing an Advanced Certification in investment banking and research analysis from New York University. Jonah began his involvement with the Point Foundation in 2008 and has since served on host committees for various events and solicited donations from financial services firms. He was interested in working with the Point Foundation because he wanted to help members of the LGBT community achieve their educational goals. He feels that education is an investment that has incalculable returns and provides the tools for intellectual and professional success. In January 2010, Jonah began serving on the Regional Board of Trustees. |
